Introduction
The Healthcare Challenges and Opportunities in Mid-Sized U.S. Cities Educational Workshop is designed to create a meaningful and actionable dialogue around challenges and opportunities of healthcare in Aurora, which faces many of the same healthcare issues of many urban and rural areas, but without receiving the same resources and attention. Our goal is to facilitate a dialogue that can address healthcare challenges and stimulate new thinking and collaboration. By bringing together healthcare experts, patients, government officials, and civic leaders to share innovative ideas and insights on healthcare challenges and opportunities, we aim to provide tangible, actionable, and pragmatic outcomes and solutions to these healthcare challenges that empower attendees and their organizations to implement positive changes.
On August, 23rd, 2016, the Center for Healthcare Innovation, a non-profit research and educational institute that aims to stimulate innovation in healthcare, organized an educational workshop on healthcare challenges and opportunities in Aurora, IL, and other mid-sized U.S. cities. The educational workshop was designed to create a meaningful and actionable dialogue around healthcare in Aurora and other mid-sized U.S. cities, which are often faced with the same challenges facing many larger urban areas, but without receiving the same resources and attention. The workshop featured Aurora healthcare experts, patient groups, government officials, and civic leaders who came together to discuss tangible, actionable, and practical outcomes and solutions to these healthcare challenges.

He has lived in six countries, traveled to over 30 more, and speaks 3 languages, all which help him view business strategy through the prism of a global, interconnected 21st century. Joseph has a B.S. in Finance from the University of Illinois at Chicago. When he’s not immersed in his work at CHI, he spends his time snowboarding backcountry, skydiving, mountain biking, volunteering, engaging in MMA, and rock climbing.
